Leap Into Books - It's over for another year!
Leap Into Books is Laisterdyke Business & Enterprise College's annual literacy event for about 100 children in and around BD3. This year (2010), we aimed for a storytelling focus, with a wide range of oral storytellers from a variety of traditions, and a visit at the end.There were early evening events, which this year were mostly be hosted at the Thornbury Centre, on Old Leeds Road- tickets were very cheap, and available from this website, and on the door. All profits from the evening events went to support Martin House Hospice and St. Gemma's Hospice, so thanks to all those who came and enjoyed!

We're also ran one morning event aimed at giving parents ideas for telling stories to their children, featungi Alec Williams, as well as sending people out to work with two primary schools who missed out due to having already restarted.
